ICYMI: In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, RV Power raised more than $86,000 to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity house build. How’d we pull it off? In the usual Red Ventures way. (That is, with an aggressive goal, a crazy multi-faceted strategy, and a team of super-talented all-stars.)
About a week after Harvey hit, RV Power created a “Hope For Houston” fund, pledging to match two dollars for every dollar donated. To get the word out to our customers, our creative team designed a homepage banner for our websites and our sales team pitched the campaign to callers.
Next, we created a fundraising page that we shared with Red Ventures employees, family, and friends. (Shout out to the RV community for your tremendous support!)
And finally, the RV Power Team set their projections for the month and mapped out a plan to generate as much incremental profit as possible. We donated everything we made to the cause.
All this (plus a generous donation from CEO Ric Elias) gave the team enough cash to cover the complete cost of the house build. But we didn’t stop there. We sent two different teams of RVers down to Houston to complete the build themselves. Here’s what we caught on camera:
